Atten Privacy Policy

Effective 8 August 2026

Atten helps people reduce distractions by blocking selected apps and websites, setting schedules and time limits, and synchronizing rules between their devices. This policy explains the data Atten uses to provide those features.

Atten uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks to enforce rules and build activity reports. Raw Screen Time activity is processed on your Apple devices and is not sent to Atten's servers.

1. Information Atten Collects

Depending on the features you choose to use, Atten may process:

  • Account information: your email address, a provider account identifier, and basic profile information such as your name when supplied by Google or Apple.
  • Synchronization data: the rules, app lists, rule state, and breaks you choose to synchronize between devices.
  • Purchase and referral information: entitlement, subscription, restore, and referral status needed to provide paid or earned features.
  • Technical and product information: app version, device and notification identifiers, feature usage, and crash or error diagnostics used to operate and improve Atten.
  • Support information: information you include when contacting Atten for help or feedback.

2. How Atten Uses Information

Atten uses this information to:

  • Create, authenticate, secure, and restore your optional Atten account.
  • Synchronize your rules, app lists, rule state, and breaks between your devices.
  • Apply subscriptions, purchases, referral rewards, and other entitlements.
  • Deliver service messages and requested account emails.
  • Diagnose errors, prevent abuse, provide support, and improve Atten.

3. Google Sign-In Data

Google Sign-In is optional. If you choose it, Google provides Atten with your email address, Google account identifier, and basic profile information. Atten uses this information only to create and authenticate your Atten account and associate it with your synchronized Atten data.

Atten does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, contacts, or other Google content. Atten does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.

4. Screen Time Activity

Apple limits how Screen Time information can be accessed. Atten processes Screen Time activity on your Apple devices to display reports and enforce your rules. Atten does not upload raw Screen Time activity or app-usage history to its servers.

5. Service Providers and Sharing

Atten does not sell personal information. Atten uses service providers only where needed to provide the product, including Apple CloudKit, Supabase, Google and Apple authentication, RevenueCat, Resend, Cloudflare, and privacy-focused product analytics.

These providers process information on Atten's behalf under their own security and privacy terms. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users, or to protect the security of Atten.

6. Retention and Security

Atten retains account and synchronized data while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect the service. Atten uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can use Atten without signing in. You may sign out at any time or contact Atten to request access, correction, or deletion of your account information. Applicable law may provide additional privacy rights. Requests can be sent to support@atten.app.

8. Changes to This Policy

Atten may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change. Material updates will be published in the app or on this page with a revised effective date.
